Typically in the south, July the 4th is super HOT. This year, we headed to the mountains to beat the heat; instead we had to purchase jackets! The Blue Ridge Parkway barely got to 70 the whole week of he Fourth of July but it didn't stop us from glamping to our hearts content. Julian Price Campground has no hookups and it was a great idea to try out the solar package to see how long we could make the batteries last and how conservative we could be with our water. Did I say we parked in the dense shade?!? But the ferns were super happy.
